I love Mary-Kate Olsen’s makeup at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York! She kept the colors neutral but definitely noticeable enough to make her face pop–brown eye shadow, light pink lips, and a gorgeous tan! I really like how these colors can go great with any outfit, and really bring out her sweet, feminine side! Here’s how you can get her look:

1. Sweep MAC Eye Shadow in Wedge [$14] all over top lid for a cool, soft brown.

2. Sweep MAC Eye Shadow in Saddle [$14], a more golden brown, into the crease to add more depth.

3. Draw a line on the lower inner rim with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Bourbon [$15]. This liner is brown with a hint of glitter, and will stay put all day!
4. For gorgeous, super long lashes, sweep two coats of Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara in Very Black [$7.49]. This mascara will not clump at all, and give you fluttery, defined lashes!

5. Sweep Stila Cheek Color in Rose [$16] on apples of cheeks for a soft, rosy pink glow.

6. Sweep Sephora Bronzer Powder SPF 15 in Riviera [$15] all over cheeks, forehead, nose, and chin for a bronze color that will protect you from the sun!

7. Complete the look with Vincent Longo Lipstain Lipstick SPF 15 in Nolita [$23] for pretty, pale pink lips that will stay smooth and soft all day!

On a nice, warm, sunny day in LA, Ashley Olsen (left) decided to embrace the weather by wearing a heavy fur coat. It looks like this practice is genetic, because Mary Kate (right) was seen later on wearing a fur coat in LA also. They are cute coats, but they are more appropriate for winter in New York, or Antarctica..not California.

If I was either of them, I would totally take advantage of the nice weather. I’m freezing in snowy New York right now, and personally I’m getting tired of layering sweaters and sweatshirts on everyday. The Olsens have good fashion sense sometimes, but there are other times when I really, really just don’t understand…

Last Wednesday night, Teen Vogue hosted an intimate party at the Gramercy Park Hotel celebrating the upcoming appearance Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen in the December/January issue. For the first time, a split cover will be featured in the magazine, as well as the twins appearing on two separate covers at the same time! Amy Astley, Patrick Demarchelier, Anna Wintour, Julie Gilhart, Phillip Lim, Thakoon Panichgul, Vena Cava designers Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai, Rodnik designers Rich Ascott and Philip Colbert, made appearances at the party, as well as Mary Kate’s boyfriend, Max Snow. I’d also like to add that I am very glad that for once, Mary Kate is not dressed in a potato sack. But anyway, be sure to look out for the Olsen twins on Teen Vogue!

I am really disgusted with Mary Kate Olsen’s “fashion sense” these days. I mean, what happened? She and her sister Ashley always used to rock the hottest styles during the times of their sitcoms “Two of A Kind” and “So Little Time”. They even had their own clothing line available at Wal-Mart stores!

But now, Mary Kate is prancing around West Hollywood in an over-sized farmer’s shirt like it’s no big deal! The thing that gets me is that this is not the first time she has dressed like this! I am starting to wonder if she is doing this on purpose. I thought that homeless people ask the more fortunate for money and clothes, not the other way around! You’d think that as an actress since age one, she would be able to afford a haircut as well. Gosh Mary Kate, what are we going to do with you?
