Bare Escentuals’ New Prime Time

Bare Escentuals bareVitamins Prime TimePrimers are being seen everywhere these days, and why shouldn’t they be? They are the perfect base for your foundation, resulting in a flawless finish! Bare Escentuals‘ new bareVitamins Prime Time is a great primer for both liquid foundations and of course, bareMinerals foundation. Its preservative-free formula is great for all skin types, and will give you the best preparation possible!

Prime Time is designed to combat flaky dryness, rough patches, fine lines, excess oil, enlarged pores, and uneven texture. It is infused with soothing plant extracts, antioxidants, and nourishing vitamins C and E for added age-defying power. Since it is mineral-infused, it won’t make you break out! This primer feels like silk once applied, and will keep away that oily look, making your foundation last longer! All you need is one pump, and you’ll have a beautiful, airbrushed finish!

I purchased this primer a week ago, and I love it! I use bareMinerals Foundation, so I was looking for something that would help it last all day long. Prime Time definitely did the trick! My foundation lasted all day, and I didn’t need to do any touch-ups! I could definitely tell that the primer made a difference, also. It gave me a silky, flawless finish! You can get this primer for $21 here–you won’t be disappointed!

The Trick to Applying Loose Glitter

MAC PigmentSeveral months ago, I purchased a set of MAC Pigments, recommended by a friend. Pigments are loose colored powders that can be applied to eyes, lips, and cheeks. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful–but there was one thing that drew me away. After applying with a q-tip, there was glitter all over the place! Nothing is more annoying than having violet glitter fall from my eyelids to my cheeks, and then having the hassle of removing it. I kept the pigments in my makeup box, but haven’t used them in a while because I was too impatient to clean the mess up after every use.

Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer BrushThen it finally came to me–the Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush. This brush is designed to apply loose powders into very small areas, resulting in maximum coverage. I wound up with two of these brushes–one from the Getting Started Kit that I bought a year ago, and one from the Beyond the Basics Kit that I bought last month. Since I had an extra concealer brush, I decided to give it a try on the pigments. I was ecstatic with the result–all of the glitter stuck to my eyelids, leaving no mess at all! I now use that extra concealer brush for loose glitter–it really works wonders! I am now able to use my pigments again mess-free!

If you don’t have this concealer brush, you can purchase one for $20 here. You won’t be disappointed–I promise!

The Kabuki Brush

The Kabuki Brush is always an essential when using powders. Its full design is built to help achieve the best, natural coverage possible. It is incredibly soft, and blends your favorite powdered foundation, blush, or bronzer into your skin to maintain a nice, full coverage. If this wonder brush is missing from your makeup box, purchase one as soon as possible–you won’t regret it! Here are some fabulous Kabuki Brushes that you should check out:

The Perfect Concealer

bareMinerals BisqueThere was a period of time where I stopped using concealer because no matter which kind I tried, it always ended up looking so cakey. The ones that didn’t look cakey did nothing whatsoever to cover anything up.

I recently purchased the bareMinerals Beyond the Basics collection–a 7 piece kit that contains 2 brushes (Concealer Brush and Soft Focus Face Brush) and 5 complexion enhancers (Bisque, Summer Bisque, Glee, Faux Tan, and Bare Radiance). I have never tried any of the complexion enhancers before, but the set was a great deal (only $49 for a $110 value!) and I love bareMinerals, so I decided to give it a try. All of the complexion enhancers worked wonders, and one that really caught me by surprise was Bisque, the multipurpose concealer and eyeshadow base!

Bisque is a soft powder that does a wonderful job in covering up dark circles, blemishes, and even helps eyeshadow last longer! Since it is a loose powder, it does not cake on–a little bit goes a long way! I applied it under my eye shadow as well, and it was a great base! The shadow went on smooth and lasted longer! Another thing I love about bareMinerals is how generous they are with their products–they last so long! You can get Bisque for only $18 here!

Bisque is also available in an SPF 20 formula–Summer Bisque! Since summer is coming up, this is a must have! You can get it for $18 here.
