Avril Lavigne Looks Drag
This really bothers me–a girl who has natural beauty and such great potential for being a style icon who decides to go out of her way to look like a total mess. I know that Avril Lavigne is “trying to be original”, but she has really crossed the line.
Avril has made sure to make her eyes look as unattractive as possible. These flamboyant red and black fake lashes give me one more reason not to take her seriously. I’d rather take makeup tips from a five year old than from Avril Lavigne.
If Avril is going to insist on doing her makeup like a clown, then she needs to lose the prom dress, and get some kind of extravagant costume, so she can at least match. And the boots! The boots! It looks like Avril is trying to create a “goth meets princess” look, but we all know that goth will never meet princess–they will never even share the same zip code. Avril, you won. You were able to create the most outrageous costume I’ve ever seen, and wear it in public.
Like I said, Avril is naturally pretty, and I’ve seen her many times looking glam and stylish. This look though, is absolutely not one of those times. Please, Avril, do not make this mistake again.
