Now that summer is here, waterproof makeup is all over the place! I know that many people choose non-waterproof makeup because waterproof can be a hassle to remove, but as long as you have a good makeup remover it’s easy!

Since waterproof makeup is made to stay put throughout water, just soap and water will not remove all of it. I absolutely love Hilary Duff’s make-up at the Children’s Choice Awards. Her metallic eye shadow just made her eyes pop! Here is how you can get her fabulous look:

1. With a wet brush, sweep Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Uzi [$15] all over lid, and draw a thin line right under the lower lash line.

2. Highlight your eyes more by applying Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow in Gold [$19] on the brow bone.

3. Line the inner rim of the lower lid with Tarte Eyeliner in Starry Night [$18].

4. Apply two coats of Almay One Coat Triple Effect Waterproof Mascara in Black [$7.99]

5. Sweep a light coat of Stila Cheek Color Pan in Rose [$14] along apples of cheeks.

6. Apply Physicians Formula Power Palette Multi-Colored Face Powder in Light [$12.95] to cheeks and forehead, and slightly along nose and chin. Blend very well.

7. So your eyes don’t look too overdone, draw some attention to your lips with MAC Lustreglass in Pinkarat [$14].
