This form of support is not only less time consuming, but it also gives the best help possible. According to Fashion Week Daily,
“Our goal is to give our designer customer the best product the market has to offer, whether they are shopping in our stores or online,†said Pete Nordstrom, president of merchandising at Nordstrom. “Sales have exceeded expectations since our initial launch and we feel we can serve customers even better now by taking orders directly online.â€
And besides, does anybody actually enjoy sitting on the phone on hold for thirty minutes, and then spending another hour trying to make an order? This service will allow customers to order their favorite designer products without any hassle. Nordstrom has already been successful since last February in allowing customers to order shoes and accessories online from designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, and Ralph Lauren. And what’s next? A “phase three” of this project is already in the making: adding even more collections to their Designer Web Site. You can look out for this one February of 2007.
