The Trick to Applying Loose Glitter
Several months ago, I purchased a set of MAC Pigments, recommended by a friend. Pigments are loose colored powders that can be applied to eyes, lips, and cheeks. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful–but there was one thing that drew me away. After applying with a q-tip, there was glitter all over the place! Nothing is more annoying than having violet glitter fall from my eyelids to my cheeks, and then having the hassle of removing it. I kept the pigments in my makeup box, but haven’t used them in a while because I was too impatient to clean the mess up after every use.
Then it finally came to me–the Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush. This brush is designed to apply loose powders into very small areas, resulting in maximum coverage. I wound up with two of these brushes–one from the Getting Started Kit that I bought a year ago, and one from the Beyond the Basics Kit that I bought last month. Since I had an extra concealer brush, I decided to give it a try on the pigments. I was ecstatic with the result–all of the glitter stuck to my eyelids, leaving no mess at all! I now use that extra concealer brush for loose glitter–it really works wonders! I am now able to use my pigments again mess-free!
If you don’t have this concealer brush, you can purchase one for $20 here. You won’t be disappointed–I promise!
